1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how ScoreThai ("we", "our", "the Extension") handles information when you use our Chrome browser extension. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

ScoreThai does not collect any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, address, phone number)
• Authentication or financial information
• Web browsing history or activity
• Health information
• User-generated content or communications
• Location data
• Any data from your device or other applications

3. Data Stored Locally

ScoreThai stores the following data locally on your device only using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API:

• User preferences: Selected leagues of interest, notification on/off settings, preferred odds display format (Hong Kong, Decimal, or Malay).
• Usage events: Anonymous, non-identifiable interaction events (e.g., tab switches, filter selections) stored locally for internal extension functionality. These events are never transmitted to any server.

This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted, synced, or shared with any external server, third party, or analytics service.

4. Third-Party API Services

ScoreThai fetches publicly available football data (match scores, fixtures, odds, standings) from the following third-party API providers:

• API-Football (api-sports.io) — Documentation
• Football-Data.org — Documentation

These API requests contain only the match/league identifiers needed to retrieve football data. No personal information is included in these requests. Please refer to each provider's own privacy policy for their data handling practices.

5. Content Scripts

ScoreThai includes a content script that runs on Google search pages (google.com and google.co.th) solely to detect football-related search queries and display a small informational widget. This script:

• Does not read, collect, or transmit any search query data
• Does not modify search results
• Does not track browsing behavior
• Only checks the current page's search input locally to determine relevance
• Can be dismissed and will not reappear for the session

6. Notifications

ScoreThai uses Chrome's notification system to alert you about match events (goals, kickoff times, odds changes). Notifications are generated locally based on data fetched from football APIs. You can enable or disable each notification type in the extension's settings.

7. Permissions Justification

• storage: Save your preferences locally on your device
• alarms: Periodically refresh live scores and check upcoming match times
• notifications: Display match alerts (goals, kickoffs, odds changes)
• contextMenus: Enable right-click menu to search team statistics
• host_permissions: Fetch football data from API providers listed in Section 4

8. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer any data to third parties. We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

9. Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. Uninstalling the ScoreThai extension will automatically remove all stored data. You can also clear the data manually through Chrome's extension settings.

10. Children's Privacy

ScoreThai is a general-audience sports information tool. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age or any other age group.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
